Over $63,000 Raised by Amazing Group of Crafters This Last Weekend
More than 130 dedicated participants raised an overwhelming amount of funds to help find a cure for breast cancer and to help those fighting the disease with treatment.
The annual FUN-raiser has now raised well over $400,000 for San Diegans. Some of our favorite moments of Survivor Crop:
-Sonia, a recent survivor poignantly talking about winning her battle and sharing her heart with us.
-Amanda, our youngest Survivor Crop participant, now battling cancer at age 12, arriving for just a few minutes to watch the crowd erupt and do a massive conga line for her.
-Michelle, singing I Choose to Live at our Celebration Ceremony before announcing the total to the group.
-Sandy and her team, Let Make a Deal for a Cure, setting a record at Survivor Crop…Their island raised over $13,000!
The sobering reminder is:
-1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.
Survivor Crop reminds urges you to:
-Get your yearly mammograms and do your monthly self exams.
Here are a few of the media outlets that covered Survivor Crop. Look for stories in this Weekend’s San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Business Journal and The Coast News.
