Survivor Crop 2010 Raises $80,000 for Komen for the Cure!

We’re elated to report that the 9th Annual Survivor Crop was a huge success! With the help of 136 passionate participants and an awesome silent auction, the event raised $80,000 for San Diego Komen for the Cure!

The event was featured on the front page of the local section in Monday’s edition of the San Diego UnionTribune.

Each island’s creativity and drive was evident in their décor and the dollars raised. From the Twi-Croppers to The Witches of Breastwick, from Cupcakes for a Cure to Nurses for Knockers, from the Rack Pack to Spare the TaTa’s…it was truly 24 hours to remember!

For the second year in a row, Kathie Taylor was deemed the Ultimate Survivor, raising $6,050!Barbara DeMattos was the runner-up
Ultimate Survivor raising $3,510! Big kudos to these women who worked hard to raise funds and awareness.

And Ultimate Surviving Island/Team went to the Boo-som Buddies raising over $8,000 and right behind them were The Witches of Breastwick! You go girls! There were a record number of $1,000 level participants…meaning over a dozen participants raised 10 times the minimum donation of $125…you should all be so proud. And a big shout out to the amazing Survivor Crop Committee, all our generous sponsors, and volunteers. Stay tuned for photos of this year’s event to be posted on our blog at www.survivorcrop.com.
